Eating: Cafe S'il Vous Plait
Never again. I love my diners, but this one fails to make my list. When we walked in last Thursday before the Jan Wong reading, we immediately sniffed out the not so faint aroma of gasoline in the air. The place was empty, another red flag. But yet this restaurant on the corner of Robson and Richards has been there for ages. There must be something redeeming about it, yes? I ended up ordering their mac and cheese, which was toted on the menu as being "better than your Mom's!" Oh really? I disagree. The mac and cheese they gave me was really really BAD. I would've done better going to the Bread Garden and ordering from there, or better yet, Kraft dinner at home by myself!!
This place needs to be renamed to Cafe Non Merci!!!!
