Momma and I watched The Good Earth this weekend for shits and giggles. It was purely so we could see how the two main actors, who were Caucasian, would portray Asian people in this epic film based on the classic novel. Considering it was 1937, I was impressed that they had real Asian people in the movie at all! It was fun to see, but not sure if it's a film I'd suggest other people watch, though the Award-winning special effects were pretty well done for that time (and I'm not talking about the yellow-face either).
