It's Gonna Be a Bright Sunshiney Day!

Well, the weather forecast is looking up. Today was a gorgeous day in Vancouver, and the weekend is promising sun! So what better way to celebrate than introducing some special guests in my ongoing doll fashion show? Nestled in with all the Barbie dolls was this lovely couple, Steve and Steff, also known as The Sunshine Family!! (In this photo, Steve is wearing one of Ken's jackets.)



Of course, I never would have known who these were if it weren't for fellow blogger Dustin! Thanks, Dustin! He suggested one of the other dolls I had might belong to The Sunshine Family, which I had never heard of. So upon looking them up, I discovered that Dustin was wrong about that other doll but that I did indeed have this doll family from the 70s! (This must be the pre-baby years as there was no baby doll included with my set.)

When I first saw Steve Sunshine, I thought he was some weird 70s version of Barbie's boyfriend, Ken. So I nicknamed him "Creepy Eyes Ken"! It's nice to know that Ken's good looks did not vanish through the 70s and that the guy with the creepy guys was someone else altogether!! Here's Steve showing off his turtleneck!
