On our Sunday morning quest for brunch, Jill and I were making our way to Railtown, which is the new area of town just on the outskirts of Gastown. You know, where Alibi Room and Deacon's Corner is located? Deacon's is where we were headed in fact, but we got sidetracked by the buzz coming out of 2 Chefs and a Table, a restaurant that I've been aching to try out forever and everytime I've gone, has been closed.
We had their Monsieur Andre's Lunch, which was basically a Croque Madame (so shouldn't it have been called Madame blah blah blah's Lunch?) Anyway, the place is cute and sleek in that grassroots kind of way, and the food was absolutely delicious (though their Croques are no match for the ones found at Au Petit Chavignol) and I can't wait to start bringing people here!! Their 5 course meal for $44 sounds like a dream as well!!
