There's no other word to describe this movie than Fantastic!! It truly was! It was retro and witty and charming and smart. Mr. Fox was so cute, as were the rest of the characters. It seemed to be like a children's story for adults who are still young at heart, or for kids who are mature beyond their years.
I just can't put into words how I felt about this movie! It's like it was made for kids, but without talking down to them. I didn't feel like I wasted my time for watching a "kid's movie" afterwards. It was more like coming across an old children's story that you used to read and re-discovering it all over again. And the fact that it is based on the classic story by Roald Dahl probably helped with its instant classic feel. Even the music in it, the scenery, the way it was done with stop-animation and voices by George Clooney and Meryl Streep - it all added to the timelessness of the tale.
It was absolutely brilliant and I had a terrific time at this!!
