I'd heard rumblings about this magnificent tourtiere (pictured above) available at the Maison Du Quebec. Yet, when I went the other day to go try one, they DID NOT HAVE ANY!!!
"We like to change our menu every day," I was told pleasantly.

This blogger managed to snag one, lucky bum!
I might attempt to go back tonight to see if they're doing them tonight. Grr!!!
And even last night, I went to 8 1/2 because I knew for a FACT that they had tourtiere on their menu.
OR SO I THOUGHT.
I had a very unwelcome surprise when the server told me that the touritere they had there was only for their special "Main Event" week, which was held back in January to stir up business in that area's restaurant scene. Bah!!!!
The Olympics are not about getting to that free concert or finding that elusive pin or getting those expensive tickets... no... the Olympics are about getting a frickin' TOURTIERE!!!!!!!
