Rain, Robin Hood, and a Roid Update

It's the May long weekend here in Canada. Since I also had Friday off, I wanted to go on a mini trip somewhere but wasn't able to find anyone to go with and couldn't decide on where to go. Vegas and Mexico were just a few places I bantered around with in my head. Oh well, maybe next time.

Staying in town, I've been having a great time so far, despite the really chilly weather! It's been raining here and there, but overall it's okay. Just wish the temperature was a bit on the warmer side.

Today Jill and I took advantage of the rainy afternoon and went to take in a screening of Robin Hood.

I was happy to escape into the medieval world of Sherwood Forest and old England for a couple of hours. The film needed more shirtless shots of Russell Crowe, though! Cate Blanchette was a sparky and strong Lady Marion.

It wasn't amazing but it was far from being bad, so I'd say See It or Rent It.

But sitting for a few hours probably wasn't the best thing for my hemmorhoid, which is doing a lot better thanks to those herbal pills that Alexis suggested I take. Vein Sense is the name of the ones I got. It's been two weeks now and the doctor said that is the usual run for roids - 1 to 2 weeks. I'm still taking the pills and using the cream, and it's definitely helped.

I'm also drinking lots of water and eating lots of fibre too, to hopefully ward off any future cases of this!!! Eat your fibre, kids!!
