A friend I used to work with over ten years ago and with whom I have tried to keep in touch with, has created a new online video game called "Hey Baby." Suyin Looui is her name, and I've lost track of where she's based out of right now - could be London, New York, or Toronto or even back here in Vancouver!
Anyhow, Hey Baby is a video game that features a woman as the main character, trying to get home from work and having to deal with men coming up to her and catcalling and harassing. Taking a cue from the video game genre, the woman pulls out her shotgun and starts firing away at these men.
It's an interesting concept, especially since there is no actual end to the game - just like in reality, women deal with this on a constant basis. The New York Times gave it a glowing review and analysis.
