As if the world wasn't already full of happiness and joy today with Kylie's latest album Aphrodite playing on repeat on my iPod, but today I get two more new songs from Ms Minogue?
Mighty Rivers reminds me a bit of one of her other B-Sides, "Tight Rope", in its equally pulsating and yearning type of feel, tinged with just a bit of 80s new wave.
Love this from the very beginning when we hear ocean waves, right up to when the music drops out at the 2:38 mark and Robot Kylie takes over!!!
Heartstrings is lush and would've fit quite well on Aphrodite. It feels like diving into cotton candy and swirly caramel desserts. It's like a harp being plucked and each note comes alive. It's also got a bit of Can't Get You Out Of My Head beating around there in the background.
I've ordered the new album via the net and have been reliably informed that it's been posted out...already!! (It's only officially released here on Monday!)
