Just read the latest David Sedaris book, which is his take on animal fables. That being said, this is not a kids' book whatsoever. Not when you have a story about a parasite that lives only in the anus of a hippo. Or a story about a dog with an extreme potty mouth. No, these are geared towards the kid in all of us, but with that adult sensibility and content. It's a departure for Sedaris, whose majority of work was autobiographical, save for his first collection of short stories Barrel Fever.
I liked the book, but it's not a must read.
