I've been trying to read Max Brooks' World War Z, An Oral History of the Zombie War. It's an intriguing format and concept - interviews with survivors of the Zombie apocalypse. Of COURSE the beginnings of zombies come from a small village in China, where a boy gets infected by something in the lake and turns all zombie and infects everyone around him, including the local doctor who gets on an airplane and BAM! Zombies Everywhere!!
So I've made it halfway through the book and I don't know, the interviews are getting sorta tedious or I'm just getting bored with it. A movie is already in the works with Brad Pitt, so maybe I'll just wait for that!
Kylie Minogue has been celebrating her 25th year in the music business this year! Every month, on the 25th, she has released some little goodie for the fans! How fun is that! We are already more than halfway into the year, so let's do a bit of a roundup of what Kylie's given us so far this year!!
We started the year off with a couple of performances done at Abbey Road studios. Retooling some of her classics, here she is doing On a Night Like This and Finer Feelings:
She embarked on a very mini tour, aptly titled the Antitour because of its small scale and her choice to sing only B-sides and unreleased stuff! I would have loved to have gone to that!! For a K25 surprise, she released this footage from the Antitour in Melbourne, singing unreleased track Cherry Bomb:
Then she went and recorded a brand new single and made a brand new video to go along with it! This past spring was all about Kylie and TIMEBOMB!!
My favourite Kylie interview was the British show Chatty Man - Alan Carr:
And even though we are celebrating the fact that The Locomotion came out 25 years ago this month, my favourite K25 surprise was the footage of Kylie at Mardi Gras in Australia!!
